I am qualified to Postgraduate  level in '3D Character Animation'. I am highly trained in the 3D

package Maya, as well as in traditional 2D animation, and have strong drawing and sculpting skills.

I take easily to computers and have experience in a number of design, animation and sculpting packages. And being technically minded have a quick understanding and transferable skills I can bring to new ones.

My general nature is very personable being empathetic and a strong communicator. I work really well with people finding they inspire me with their ideas and creativity as well as with their individual traits and personalities

working on a personal project called "Mielgrun" which explores Artistic styles associated to emotions as well as working on a children's book that explores perspective and how one thinks they are seen.

Skills include character modeling in Maya, I have learnt set building, lighting and rendering, and basic rigging. I have taken acting lessons to properly explore distinct and emotive movement and give a sincerity and complexity to a character, as well as the physics and weight of movement.

This included work with Silicone, Resin Moulds and Casts, Figurative Sculpting, Foam latex, Plaster and Prosthetics, Fabrication and Puppetry. My degree covered a range of professional techniques for mould making and industry effects. I also gained experience of keeping to strict deadlines working in a team and in personal projects.

Whilst working on my own ideas for a children's story and sculpting, I have been working as a retail assistant at Waterston's bookshop in Kingston.

 

Jan 2007

 

I worked as the soul concept artist for a children's internet television program for a web sight called Pod3tv. The program was called "Booogles" and my responsibilitywas to design all the main characters

 

July 2004

 

"X-mass" was a film I worked on and was credited. I sculpted the main torso of a zombie in polystyrene changing from a frozen chicken. I also helped fabricate its rotting flesh and painted the zombie and chicken's body. The film did very well and won 3 awards and had one nomination (Includes clip of the work)

Hobbies and interests

 

I really enjoy losing myself in computer games, (especially shadow of the colossus) books, good films and animations. I like to Go out and meet all different types of people and learning from others, and the human condition on the whole.

 

I have a big soft spot for animals and fascinated by their diversity and often go to the zoo to draw them. In the past I have trained in Breakdance and have also made three parachute jumps.
